Once again, Cromarty Bowling Club hosted the Ross-shire Ladies Singles.  The ladies all bowled well over the day, and a big thank you to all involved in hosting and catering.  

Congratulations to Nan Blain, whose success in the final over last year's winner, Fiona Graham, sees her become the 2025 Champion.

The defending champions - Denise McIntosh, Kenny MacFarlane and Alister MacKenzie - fought hard in the final,  but on the day were bettered by Conon and Mayborough.  Still a great achievement - and a well deserved envelope for your efforts ;-)

Cromarty Bowling Club were delighted to welcome young folk as a collaboration with Cromarty Youth Cafe's summer programme on Tuesday 29th July.  Eight junior players attended, having the opportunity to learn a little about lawn bowls, and then engage in competition to test their abilities, under the watchful eyes of Club members, and Fraser and Wanda from CYC (who also provided some lunch - thank you!).

Our continued thanks to the Cromarty Trust for the support of youth bowling in Cromarty.

As the Northern Bowling League for 2025 ends, Cromarty achieved a very respectable 3rd position, narrowly missing out on the second place spot.  Congratulations to all those who contributed to this success over the season.

We have been fortunate to be awarded £400 funding for the development and support of Youth bowling for another year, by the Cromarty Trust.  We are extremely grateful for the continuation of this funding, that this year helped to support two sessions as part of the Cromarty Youth Cafe summer programme.  As a result of their experience, we have welcomed two new youth members, Isabella & Katie.  Both are enjoying the game, and have also taken to the indoor short mat.  We look forward to supporting them in the coming season, and extend this invitation to other members of the youth community in Cromarty.
